Barry Brinegar has spent more than thirty years in the Lexington business community and is a longtime student of bourbon history. His appreciation for bourbon grew through local bourbon groups, including the Lexington Bourbon Society, where he served on the board of directors. In 2020 he co-founded RD1 Spirits, which revived the history of Lexington’s first federally registered distillery, and he served as its National Brand Ambassador. Barry and his wife Tori have since launched Kentucky Bonded Spirits, a consulting company that works alongside spirits brands in Kentucky and Georgia.
