Do you have to be a member to visit Watch Hill Proper? No. However, membership has its benefits.

Becoming a Watch Hill Proper member means becoming part of the Watch Hill Proper family and having a home away from home. Watch Hill Proper membership means joining a community where you can build relationships with fellow members and our amazing staff and have a great member experience every time you visit.

Yes! We are open to the public! We love our local non-members and we hope anyone visiting Kentucky will make sure to visit us. The Club

Main Bar

Enjoy your favorite whiskey cocktail at the bar or while relaxing comfortably in the main room. With the look and feel of an early 20th century speakeasy, you will always enjoy fine company and feel right at home.

Surrounding the Main Room are the private Lounge, Library and our Fermenter Cocktail Bar.

Lounge

The Lounge is open during the day for members to get some work done or connect with a neighbor for a cup of coffee. In the evening, this room is a comfortable place to experience a rare bourbon for anyone to enjoy.

Library

We are passionate about the history of bourbon and the craft of making bourbon. The library is a great place to hone your knowledge while also enjoying a bourbon on ice. A great place to sit to escape the action in the Main Room.

The Fermenter

The Fermenter is our cocktail bar. Perfect for a quick drink but also available for a full dining experience. Also available to book for a Private Cocktail Party!
