Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

1. Do you have to be a member to visit Watch Hill Proper?

Absolutely not. This is not a private club. Membership has its benefits which are well worth the price for many. But for the infrequent visitor, membership may not be a good fit. Non-members are welcome anytime and will be seated on a first come first served basis.

2. Does the club serve food?

The club does have a full working kitchen. We have a fantastic menu of high quality offerings developed by our chef and designed to pair with bourbon. We can also create custom menu items for special event dinners that offer more substance.

3. What is the policy for private events?

The club is meant to be a place to entertain family & friends, clients & colleagues. Entertaining larger groups in a private setting may be accommodated by emailing Bev Reese at bev@kbmbrands.com.

4. What are the club’s hours?

Watch Hill Proper opens at 4pm and closes at 11pm on Tuesday through Thursday. We are open from 4pm until 12am on Friday and Saturday. The kitchen closes an hour earlier.

5. Can anyone make a reservation?

Yes. Reservations are available on our website and require a $50/person minimum spend.

6. Is there a dress code?

Business casual is strongly suggested. Collared shirts are highly preferred. We do discourage sandals, sweats, and baseball caps. Think cocktail attire or business casual.

7. Is there any liquor other than bourbon offered in the club?

Watch Hill Proper is a bourbon club and we don’t see any reason to drink anything other than bourbon. However, we have fantastic cocktails, other American whiskeys and an extensive wine list. No beer.
