Membership

Do you have to be a member to visit Watch Hill Proper? No. However, membership has its benefits.

Becoming a Watch Hill Proper member means becoming part of the Watch Hill Proper family and having a home away from home. Watch Hill Proper membership means joining a community where you can build relationships with fellow members and our amazing staff and have a great member experience every time you visit.

BOURBON, AND THEN SOME

Watch Hill Proper is Louisville’s bourbon and dining destination. Located in the Norton Commons community, Watch Hill Proper offers an unparalleled experience. While we have the most extensive menu of American whiskeys and the largest bourbon collection in the country, we offer so much more such as carefully curated wine offerings, world class cocktails and an elevated dining experience with the highest level of service.

ARE YOU OPEN TO THE PUBLIC?

Yes! We are open to the public! We love our local non-members and we hope anyone visiting Kentucky will make sure to visit us. While membership has its benefits which are well worth the price for many, for the infrequent visitor, membership may not be a good fit. Click here to learn more about membership.

Non-members are welcome anytime and will be seated on a first-come first-served basis. We also currently offer non-member reservations that require a minimum food spend.

DO WE OFFER ANYTHING OTHER THAN BOURBON?

Yes! We have a full dining menu of elevated American cuisine created by Chef Michael Crouch, an extensive wine list, a world-class cocktail program, and the largest selection of American whiskey in the world.

The Club

Main Bar

Enjoy your favorite whiskey cocktail at the bar or while relaxing comfortably in the main room. With the look and feel of an early 20th century speakeasy, you will always enjoy fine company and feel right at home.

Surrounding the Main Room are the private Lounge, Library and our waiting room we call The Fermenter.

Lounge

The Lounge is open during the day for members to get some work done or connect with a neighbor for a cup of coffee. In the evening, this room is a comfortable place to experience a rare bourbon for anyone to enjoy.

Library

We are passionate about the history of bourbon and the craft of making bourbon. The library is a great place to hone your knowledge while also enjoying a bourbon on ice. A great place to sit to escape the action in the Main Room.

The Fermenter

Similar to a great bourbon fermenting while waiting its turn to join the party in the still, The Fermenter is our waiting room. After checking in with the front of the house, this whiskey bar gives you the option of indoor or outdoor seating and will help you comfortably pass the time.
