Born into and raised in a century-old hospitality business, Dixon Dedman is a self-proclaimed foodie with a trained palate and entrepreneurial vision. His blends have garnered awards and recognition, earning their place among the finest American whiskies in recent memory.

Master blender, innkeeper, storyteller, speaker, and author, he sticks closely to his values of honest hard work and perseverance, building on his family’s legacy. He has been featured in The New York Times, Garden & Gun Magazine, The Bourbon Review, Kentucky Monthly, Forbes, Robb Report, Playboy, and more.

In 2015, Dixon accepted the James Beard Foundation’s “America’s Classic Award” on behalf of his family. He has received the Garden & Gun Magazine “Made in the South Award,” and his whiskey blends constantly garner high praise and scores from the whiskey community.

He has a passion for blending whiskey and engaging with startups as well as established brands, consulting on product development and brand identity. He travels the country giving bourbon history talks, leading tastings, and just talking bourbon with groups, societies, and corporate teams. He has developed strategies known as Lego Hospitality and Disruptive Service that he employs at his inn and shares with groups across the country.
